I was looking for a heavenly light
a sign that I wasn't so wrong in my right
to live a life of my own dream and sight
but the world has it's own way
And my heart is a hollow plain
for the devil to dance again
and the sky is too quiet
and so I conjured another prayer
under the night sky laying there
asking God why he's so silent
and in my chest raging rebellion and flair
I felt myself rise and throw my arms in despair,
giving in and releasing control
for my helplessness to the unknown
trying to find peace in the quiet
peace in the violence
